Bride’s Log : Day Six Part VII : Cocktail Hour
August 31, 2014
After the pictures were all taken, we got to jump right into the festivities with our guests and got to enjoy some of the very yummy delicious food we had asked to be prepared. Meanwhile, we had arranged for a special entertainment for our guests while they enjoyed the hor douvres and cocktails…
We were pretty excited about finding our mariachi band and from what we heard from guests, they really got a kick out of it too. A lot of our guests were dancing and they tended to follow after the dancers. It proved for revolving entertainment. 🙂
Meanwhile, champagne was being passed around to guests.
And it was fun to spot some VIPs mingling with each other.
We were told some people filled up on the cocktail treats they were so good and were shocked when the buffet opened with all of its’ options.
Every guest got a chocolate place card with their name and table name on it as a portion of their favor.
My last minute, not-so-awesome seating chart. >.< Of all the DIY projects I did for the wedding, this one was my least favorite.
I was pretty happy we got to sneak in a little dance with the mariachi band before it was time for our first dance.
More food shots. Doesn’t it make you so hungry?
This was my favorite! Lamp chops with rosemary jus. I was very sad that no one set some aside for the wedding party and us. My dad and I shared the last two and Erick and I split the one. It was just too good.
I think the self-entertained children were a good sign that it was time to change the pace of the party.
