glindascrown

To complete my dress when it arrives! XD

I also got the wand today. I took advantage of an awesome coupon I got for the Disney Store. The dress should be arriving in March (I’m hoping before the movie comes out), but I’d like to talk about the crown.

Inspiration Instants: Unique Disney Finds/Buys

I’ve never claimed to be much of a shopper, but I’m one heck of a spender! I know that’s nothing to boast, but boy am I a sucker when something is labeled “limited edition” and has Disney’s seal of approval. Throw in when only so many can exist and I’m sold.

It’s a habit I’m trying to kick. But some people (such as Disney), make it so difficult!

Inspiration Instants: The Bride of Frankenstein

If I haven’t said it before, I’ll say it again. I LOVE costuming. Wearing costumes, making costumes…I don’t know what it is, but I love the feeling of making something come to life through your own hands from the book or screen that inspired you.

A New Wedding Update: Veils Vent

I don’t know how many of you have been involved with wedding things, but it’s a very fascinating planning process. I can understand why a lot of couples decide to DIY because it seems like just tacking on the word “wedding” can make some things quite expensive! @_@

Now, I’ve been pretty understanding of a lot of costs for many things in the process. It doesn’t usually bother me. HOWEVER! When I began looking for veils, I found this was one place where many many wedding-business people felt they could up the price by quite a ridiculous amount. I came to this realization when I found a veil I really loved. In fact, this one:

Inspiration Instants: Elviras of Events Past

I think if I could only cosplay one costume for the rest of my life, it would be Elvira. I adore that costume and I love that every time I wear it, not only is it a huge hit, I’m constantly improving it.
