I forgot to mention in the video that I am following the tutorial shared by Bouffant Delacroix. Obviously, I did not follow them step by step (I could NOT get their “tacking” technique down at all. It was just total annoyance instead of assistance), but thanks to them, I got a rather kick-booty looking wig. 🙂

Double creature feature today. It wasn’t intentional, but when I think about it’s perfect considering that it’s only…
Two Days until Halloween!
The Creature from the Black Lagoon celebrated it’s 60th theatrical release anniversary on March 5th of this year. If you noticed the Cryptkeeper Countdown used it as the inspiration for their layout and buttons. This movie just so happens to be one of my favorite creature features as well. Don’t get me wrong, the classic monsters are always fun, but there was just something so empathetic about the Creature and I loved that this film still gave me a scare…60 years later while fighting for it’s title with the modern-date flicks to make you fear the bump in the night.

Yas’s was the first Monster Fashionista I sketched out randomly before the idea actually formed. So her design is much less complex than the other gals. It’s still cute, but not as…over the top, I suppose. Not sure if I’m thrilled with the colors, but it was what kicked off the fashionistas so I owe her that much! 😉

Running just a little late today, but that’s ok!
When I started sketching for the countdown back in August, I had this crazy inspiration to create a sort of fashion couture inspired by some of my favorite silver-screen monsters. Ironically, the first one I show you is the last one I drew. I’m sure the monster inspiration is obvious, but in case you don’t get it, it’s based on the Wolfman.
