April Adventure : Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars (Let’s Catch Up on the Year)

Welcome to the December “Let’s Catch Up on the Year” blog-a-thon segment! XD This is where I’ll be sharing some of my many adventures I experienced over the 2015 and 2016 years. Many of which I had intentions of posting, but ended up never doing! >.<;; Last year, I shared my birthday adventure in wine country. I had such a blast that I decided to do the same this year and even ventured out of my comfort zone from my beloved Castello di Amorosa.

I was not sure what awaited us during our time at Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars, but it was certainly a time to be had and I’m extremely glad I discovered this winery, almost completely by accident.

Happy Halloween!

It’s Halloween~

What a fun evening! Wine, delicious food, laughs and good times. The only thing lacking were some spooky spirits, but I was very happy settling with the liquor kind.

A Magical Adventure : Just Another Trip to the Castle

“Just another trip to the castle…” she said casually. Only any trip to any castle isn’t “just” another trip. It’s a new magical adventure just waiting to be discovered!

My latest visit to one of my favorite places this past Saturday was exactly that. My husband was out of town with my sister, attending a convention. All my friends seemed to already have plans or really aren’t wine people. My mother just so happened to be free, which was perfect, because she’s really fun company.

When I called to schedule a tour with Angie, I’d told her how I’d wanted to take advantage of my wine club membership perks and was looking for something a little different from the standard tour. At first, she recommended the Cheese and Wine tasting, which sounded delish. When she pulled up my membership information, she informed me that there was a different tour that she highly recommended and with my membership, it would give me 50% off of it. I decided to go for it.

Who knew that the Royal Food and Wine pairing tour at Castello di Amorosa would be so outstanding? I’m a seasoned visitor to the castle of love in Napa Valley’s Calistoga region. Erick and I have done both the self-guided tour and the guided tour multiple times with really fun results. No two tours have ever been the same and the sommeliers have always made each experience unique regardless of how many times we’ve done the tour. We’ve attended wine club events and had a complete blast of an evening, but the tour we did Saturday was an even more special visit.

Countdown to Halloween : CHOC Charity Walk

As some of you have witnessed on my facebook page, my hubby and I took steps towards dedicating some time and fundraising towards what I feel like is a really amazing and wonderful cause.

I was feeling motivated to join this walk when I received information about an Annual Passholder’s team. Then talk of it sprouted within a FB group of fellow Disneyland Brides. When talks of forming a team got serious, I was 100% behind it and my darling-dearest encouraged me to go for it and participate.

Day Trip to Disneyland (36 hour trip, really)

Still trying to get on track, but as promised, here’s my report from our “quick” little adventure down to Disneyland last weekend.

Disneyland, as always, was AWESOME. It’s super hard for me not to have a good time, and when I’m not having one, it actually has nothing to do with the Magic Kingdom its self. And I have to admit I wasn’t the greatest travel companion this time around. I was super grouchy because I was running on pretty much zero from the work week and was a bit snappy with everyone we were traveling with. >.<;;; “Rawr rawr rawr,” I’m sure I sounded like. Erick caught a perfect shot when I was being crabby…
