I’m not going to lie…the above gif is what I hope everyone’s reaction will be when I walk down the aisle. But…I guess that’s the hope of every bride, yes?
On Monday, I had the pleasure to go and try on my dress for the very first time! I mean, I tried a sample one a year ago, but I actually got to wear MY dress. *squee!* I had the pleasure of my mother’s, father’s and sisters’ company while there.
I’m changing Tuesdays from geeky things to treat things. Allows me to get a little more broad with what I can talk about. Obsessions can get a little boring after a while. At least I’m bored of them.

You cannot fathom the effort and work and sweat and tears that go into wedding planning until you take that step into the planning process. It catches you unaware and sometimes makes you unbelievably frustrated.
Like planning anything else, there are pros and cons. Although it sounds completely hokey, it’s true that a wedding can make and break a lot of people and relationships or even change the relationships with others. This should seem very obvious, but it is so easy to forget or not realize.
In my own planning experience, I have already had so many ups and downs and I still have a year and five months to go. I even had a (lengthy) moment last week where I just wanted to say “NO MORE!” and completely give up on the notions of a wedding event. Not give up on my marriage, but perhaps take the easier, less opinionated, and cheaper route of a trip to City Hall.
As pointed out by my wonderful man, NO ONE should make me feel like I should give up on that dream of having a wedding. But I’ve felt it a couple of times and it’s not fair.
